Throughout her youth and then after owning her own homes Debbie showed forth her love for the garden. Continuing to create flower, herb, fruit and vegetable garden. This love and developed knowledge led to many pictures offered for purchase and for usage in her articles to write three separate published columns in two separate magazines and one blog. The articles told of her life experiences, gardening practices, shared recipes using her harvest and promoting local restaurants.
Debbie was involved in many ministries for twenty-two-years in her local church where she sharpened all her creative tools in acting, dancing, singing, choreography, writing directing, historical research, set builds, prop making, and sang occasional solos during performances and weekly choir. During those years she also oversaw a banquet ministry in which her original recipes were orchestrated by her staff of forty volunteers, mixed with her well accepted passionate leadership, creative design and gift for hospitality.
Modeling came as a natural progression, after modeling on a local runway at a large national department store, where she was approached by a modeling agency.
Social media has opened a means in which to where Debbie has been able to share her gardening, writing, singing, dancing, cooking videos and modeling activities. This pod cast is her next step to sharing with others her comfortable conversation of her many thoughts on so many issues and seems like a natural progression. Please enjoy my passionate thoughts!
From a very young age Debbie (Napoli) Santillo knew she belonged entertaining others in one way or another.
In her youth she debuts as a singing angel next to Jesus’s manger in first grade at her elementary school’s play.
By middle school she took the mat as a gymnast, combining acrobatics intermingled with her own choreography. Occasionally Debbie joined a dance class for enjoyment. She also started to bake original cakes, pies and desserts as a fun hobby.
In high school, she dazzled her home economics teacher and classmates as her cooking skills and talents became obvious. During her junior and senior years, it was clear Debbie was very comfortable on the stage during school plays, where she was background talent, singer and featured dancer.
Immediately after graduation Debbie pursued her baking and cooking skills, first at a bagel bakery, then as kitchen staff in the first restaurant out of several that she went on to learn, enhance, practice and create her baking and cooking repertoire. Marriage in 1989, becoming a home maker and then two children never stopped her from pursuing her creative talents. In 1991 she developed her own catering company, “Create a Party w/ Debora Santillo”.
Besides her catering company, restaurant work, ministries and her volunteerism with previous creative works, many new doors were opened by her involvement with her modeling agency. The agency added to her path of runway modeling, professional print work, print and filmed commercials and Debbie is now pursuing professional movie acting. Networking opened her opportunities to published magazine writing and to sing a song she wrote at a dance troupe performance at a local college in which she also danced throughout. Because of all her activities she has also been invited to be a guest chef at a local restaurant where she developed and cooked the menu and was the entertainment, along with strolling models from her agency. She also modeled and was an informative mistress of ceremonies during the event. Debbie has also been MC for a fashion show and luncheon, and has been a paid speaker, speaking on how to reinvent yourself, which she clearly keeps doing throughout her life with passion.
